
| Friday, May 11th is the monthly beer bust at the Rawhide. $5.00 all you can drink until the keg is dry. 7pm - 10pm. Saturday, May 12th is Bears Night Out, at 7pm. This month it will be at Jaeger's Seafood House, 901 S Clearview Parkway. Wednesday, May 16th is Bear Meat night at the Rawhide. RSVP to Charles to reserve your meat. Starts at 7pm. Friday May 18th from 9pm to Midnight is the third friday beer bust at the Phoenix $5.00 all you can drink until the keg is dry. Stay for the Mr Phoenix Foreplay at 11pm. It's a meet-and-greet for the contestants and judges of the Mr Phoenix Contest. Saturday May 19th at 11pm is the Mr Phoenix Contest. If you want to be a contestant, pick up an application at the bar...Lotsa furry fun. The Big Easy Stompers will hold a beer bust from 9pm to Midnight. $5.00 all you can drink until the keg is dry. Sunday May 20th is adoption day at the zoo. Come visit with Betsy, Camille, and Eddie, our adopted black bears. Meet at the front gate for entry at 9:30. Saturday May 26th, we are trying to arrange an outing to a New Orleans Zephyrs game. Please let Charles know if you are interested. Sunday May 27th, at 5pm, we are having a Memorial Day beer bust at the Rawhide. $5.00 gets you all you can drink beer, until the keg is dry. Also available for $10.00, you can get a plate of crawfish with all the extras. Monday May 28th is the Mascara Run, benefitting NOCCA. It starts at 2pm at The Clover Grill. 17th NOBBTSC Anniversary Party was successful! A great turn out with
plenty of food and drink. Thank you to everyone who attended and
celebrated another year! A special thank you to our special
guest, Ed Azemas, and his partner. Ed is the reigning King of the
Krewe Lords of Leather. |

you to all who participated in the Two Tons of Fun benefit on April
20th. We raised over $1200 for Food for Friends. Club LAX (2301 North Causeway Blvd, Metaire) holds a monthly BEAR DEN happy hour on the last Friday of the month. Happy hour prices and pizza will be available from 5pm to 9pm. The next one is Friday April 27th. Hope to see you there! Don't forget the Anniversary party this Saturday from 12pm to 5pm. Bring a dish! Relax and celebrate with a crawfish boil, burgers/hot dogs, and ice cold beer and soft drinks. See you there at 2460 Dauphine Street (same place as last year). | The International Association of Gay/Lesbian Country Western Dance Clubs (IAGLCWDC) has asked for help with their national convention being held here in New Orleans, May 24-27, 2012. Along with the Presentation of Colors (flags), there are other volunteer opportunities available the entire weekend. Dress is casual, Bear Wear. Easter! The Bears passed a great time today. Thank you to all who were
able to join in the parade. We walked our paws off! We missed our bear
brothers who had family and other obligations. Thank you to: Robert R, Herb I, Jimmy M, Hak K, Dave J, Shannon S, Charles J, and bear supporter Alex F. Special Thanks to Charles J for donating 1500 eggs/candy for our parade throws, Shannon S for being the Easter Bunny, Herb I for decorating the club sign. |

Black History Month, Rawhide
is holding Soul Food Night Out. Come out on Wednesday, February
8th from 7 to 9pm and sample a variety of soul food prepared by Byron
and Thor. The soul food will accompany what ever meat you choose
to bring, as is the tradition for Wednesday nights. Rawhide is located at 740 Burgundy Street. |

Krewes providing security, admission, escorting, and colorguard.

| The New Orleans Bears had a
busy weekend! Mardi Gras season is here! Saturday January 14th we had Bears Night Out where Vic (Bear), Shannon, and Robert enjoyed dinner at City Diner. Those unable to attend missed out on a good dinner and a King Cake! At the same time, we had members attending the 14th Annual Bal Masque of Mwindo. Attending: George T, Robert R, Herb I, Charles J, Nathan M, Johnny S, Jim M, Keith H, Charlie B, and Frank A. It was a festive evening celebrating with the Krewe of Mwindo. The night was filled with entertainment, food, and good company. Even though our beloved Saints lost to the 49'ers, we marched on! |
